Autumn At Gibside | National Trust

Gibside is one of our favourite National Trust properties. It is absolutely beautiful all year round but there is something special about it in Autumn.

The leaves changing colour and the smell of campfires make for a perfect autumn stroll.

We took our own picnic but popped into the cafe for hot coffee and cake! Their frangipane and almond cake is a particular favourite of mine.

Gibside is also the perfect place to take some autumnal photos, I plan to frame some of the ones I took last weekend.

Gibside National Trust Autumn

There are some fantastic events coming up at Gibside.

Hallowe’en Trail

Fun for all the family, discover amazing creatures like spiders, bats, mice and frogs and where they like to live! 21st to 31st October.

Gibside Pub: Beer and Bite Night.

Pop along to the Gibside foodie night on 21st October. There will be a selection of stalls selling a variety of snacks and the resident butcher and baker cooking pizza and more, you are in for a tasty night.

Pumpkin Carving

Autumn wouldn’t be complete with a spot of pumpkin carving.Tickets are £5 and the event runs between 26th – 28th October.

What is your favourite National Trust property?

I love National Trust. My favourites around my area are Penrhyn Castle and Bodnant Gardens. They’re so beautiful. I love your photos – so pretty.

Your photos are gorgeous! What a beautiful place for an autumnal walk. It’s very pretty and the trees don’t all seem to be turning brown yet; although the leaves are on the floor!
Izzy looks like she had a fab day out.

Thanks for joining #daysoutwithatoddler 🙂 see you again soon

Gorgeous pictures! She’s such a cutie. We love Gibside, it’s ten mins down the road from us so we go often. Have you been to Washington Old Hall? That’s another favourite for my little man.

Hi Cat, We’ve only been to Washington Old Hall the once, and that was when Izzy was tiny. I think another trip may be on the cards xx
